Following are just a few examples of how Continental Hydraulics helped solve some unique challenges.

Just Chicken. This power unit is used to move processed poultry from station to station in a major processing facility. Continental engineers worked with the distributor to develop a hydraulic power supply that drives a conveyor system throughout the customer’s facility. The conveyor system begins with the arrival of live poultry, and ends with the dressed birds being placed in refrigerators to await shipment to supermarkets.

Safety First. This custom-designed accumulator provides backup hydraulic service. It allows a system to cycle to a safe neutral position in the event of a power failure.

Rocket Science! How do you test the inertial guidance system of a rocket without expensive airborne launches and search/retrieval operations? Simply strap the rocket to a motion table that can duplicate the effects of a run to a target. This 600-gallon power unit is the primary power source for a 3-axis motion system that convinces the guidance system it’s chasing a target. The system duplicates the effects of a dodging target, plus the vibration and jolts of high-speed flight.
